Understanding the times – Yahweh’s 7000 years plan

Biblical Prophecy is a mystery – even to most people who read the bible. This subject is tremendously important, yet it is also tremendously confusing. Why ? Because Bible prophecy is locked. And the vast majority of people do not have the one vital key that unlocks the prophecy.

A key is used in scripture as a symbol of the power of revealing, or interpreting, secret things; also for power in general.

Now, no interpretation of prophecy is worth anything which is not sustained by facts. Prophecy is not a prediction of opinions, principles, or feelings, but it’s evident and indisputable facts.

The Bible is unique because it narrates the past, the present, and the future all in one volume. We learn from the accuracy of its details in relation to the past and the present, to put unbounded confidence in its declaration concerning the future.

This is even more important now since we live in the time where we are expecting for Jesus Christ to come and establish the Kingdom of God on earth. No one desires to be in the position where he or she will caught by surprise and not ready when Angel knock their door because they misunderstood of the prophetic events related to his second coming. Is there even a faint possibility that it will happen again?

Understanding the God’s 7000 years plan gives us the context to understand what the Bible is presenting. Let us identify the prophecies so you won’t be caught unawares when probation closes. The wise will understand and the foolish won’t. (Daniel 12:9)

Did you ever sit down and wonder why the Bible records God created the heavens and the Earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th ? Why did it not take God 3,8,11,15 or any other number of days? And what is up with God resting on the 7th day ? God does not need to rest! So why is a “day of rest” part of the Creation story?

This scripture was given to mankind to really, truly, prophetically declare 1 day = 1000 years in God’s sight. The 7 days creation story actually represented and foretold of an absolutely fixed 7,000 year plan for mankind’s time on planet Earth! Therefore God was punctuating the reality of His 7,000 years mater time plan which He had secretly foretold from the beginning in the 7 days Creation narrative!

Did God gave us any clues in the bible that the end of 6,000 years on planet Earth would be a significant time period ? The answer is an overwhelming YES!

The dazzling fact is the 7 days of creation on Genesis Chapter 1 reflects God’s plan of 6,000 years for man to rule the earth and a final 1,000 year Sabbath in which Christ Himself and the Saints will rule!

There had been 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham, and 2,000 years from Abraham to Christ (his death in AD 30); so there will be 2,000 years for the Christian era and then would come the Millennium.

And perhaps, more importantly for many, when will the 6,000 years end?

Here what Paul told the believers at his days – 1 Thessalonians 5:1 -3

“Now, brothers, you don’t need me to to write to you about the times and appointed times*, because you know full well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night—while they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”

  • appointed times – καιρῶν – it denotes a distinct or fixed period of time, often being used of festal holidays, special feasts, etc. It often has the notion of “the appropriate time,” but that doesn’t communicate the proper sense to an English ear in this passage.

So the logic of the paraphrase translated actually goes something like this:

“You already know about the times and appointments, so I don’t need to write you. You already know that it’s going to take the outsiders by surprise, since they’re living in darkness. That day will come upon the wicked like a thief in the night, like labor pains on a pregnant woman. But you won’t be taken by surprise, because you’re not in darkness. You can see clearly, since you’re in the light. So let’s make sure we stay sober and alert. …”

Paul reassure the Thessalonians believers already knew about the times and epochs. There was no need for him to write of these matters, for he had already conveyed all this information concerning the future to them.

Edward Gibbon from the 1776 work “THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE,” where he documented the facts regarding the first century Christians…

“The ancient and popular doctrine of the Millennium was intimately connected with the second coming of Christ. As the works of the creation had been finished in six days, their duration in their present state, according to a tradition which was attributed to the prophet Elijah, was fixed to six thousand years. By the same analogy it was inferred that this long period of labor and contention, which was now almost elapsed, would be succeeded by a joyful Sabbath of a thousand years; and that Christ, with the triumphant band of the saints and the elect who had escaped death, or who had been miraculously revived, would reign upon earth till the time appointed for the last and general resurrection”.

Clearly, a knowledge of the millennium and of Yahweh’s 7000 years plan is a doctrine which was widely accepted and taught by the apostles and the believers in early centuries.

Evidently early believers did heed the 7,000 years plan doctrine, but today we’ve since lost that wisdom. The “No one know the day or the hour” doctrine appeared to be an impregnable Christadelphian stronghold. Unfortunately, this is not correct. Please visit the article “NO ONE KNOW THE DAY OR HOUR” that will explain the details of why Jesus said that quote and what it means.

In fact, we has been given by God in a mathematically precise timetable in the bible concerning the second coming of Christ. The bible revealed the answer of the actual time appointed by God that Christ will return nearly at the end of 6000 years and almost 2000 years from his death. The time cannot be hastened nor delayed. It is a set prophetic time!

WE are going to study the prophecy concerning the timing of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Now, how we know and when end of 6000 years will end? Based upon the best chronologies that seem to have been able to construct, Please visit the article “Why 2020” to uncovering the Secrets of Bible Prophecy!
